<p><em>&#8220;I have been driving for over 20 years <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> began working locally with <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> company about <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> year ago.  I have <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> say that <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> hours of service rules for <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truckers</a> can be <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> killer for <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>drivers</a>, <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> perhaps more so for local <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>drivers</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> those new <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> industry.  My shift is suppose <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> start <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a>t 7 <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>A</a>.M., but often me <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> my  slip-seat partner runs late due <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> various reasons beyond our control, <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> many times he does not make it back until 2 P.M. or later.   I am accustomed <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> getting up around 5 <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>A</a>.M., so going back <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> sleep is impossible.&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;So, up at 5 <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>A</a>.M., make it <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> work at 2 P.M., put in <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> 14 hour day, so I&#8217;m done at 4 <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>A</a>.M., home by 4:30 <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>A</a>.M.   On this particular day, I have been up <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a>wake for twenty three <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> half hours.  This type of schedule happens very often in local driving work.   Even squeezing in <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> 10 hour break, you are either running behind all week or completely drained of all energy for <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> remainder of <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> week, just from your first day of work.   If I say anything <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> dispatch, I am met with &#8220;So what <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a>re you saying?  Are you turning down <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> load?&#8221;   <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>Drivers</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a>ccept this challenge everyday and  do their jobs professionally, but I see no safety in this type of operation, when <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> industry is constantly talking about &#8220;Safety First.&#8221;<br />
</em></p>
<p>This is very typical of <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/" class="kblinker" title="More about trucking &raquo;">trucking</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> is <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> main reason why veteran <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>drivers</a> will always stress that <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>trucking</a> is not <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> job, but <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> lifestyle.  Regardless, how can<strong> <a title="trucking" href="http://welovetruckssite.com/">trucking</a> companies</strong> stress <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> importance of <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>driver</a> safety when so many <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>drivers</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a>re expected <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> operate under this kind of schedule?    Too many variables in <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> real world can stop <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> fourteen hour clock instantly:  traffic accidents <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> delays at <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> shipper <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> receiver just <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> mention <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> few.   Is <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>driver</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> public safety <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> real concern for <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>trucking</a> companies <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> powerful <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>trucking</a> organizations?  Or is greed <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> primary motive for <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> continuance of pushing <a title="professional" href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/tag/professional/">professional</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truck</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>drivers</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> their limits?</p>
<p>Just last year in 2009, <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> major retail corporation lobbied <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> Congress <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> push <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truck</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>drivers</a> into <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> 16 hour work day.  Luckily, that proposal was shot down.  Anyone who has driven long enough <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> far enough will agree that <strong><a title="driver fatigue" href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/tag/driver-fatigue/">driver fatigue</a></strong> is <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> major factor within <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> industry.   Those who say otherwise, have not driven <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truck</a> for <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> real living.   With <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> hours of service rule pushing <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>drivers</a> harder <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> further, allowing their lives <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> be <a title="controlled" href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/tag/controlled/">controlled</a> by <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>driver</a> logbook, <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> fact that there are as few big rig accidents than there are, is only <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> testimony <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> professionalism <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> skill of <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truckers</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>The</a> regulations set forth by <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> hours of service rules, only makes it more difficult for <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>drivers</a>, while allowing <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> industry itself <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> reap greater monetary rewards . . . all on <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> backs of <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truck</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>drivers</a>.   Why are <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truckers</a> forced <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> work 70 hour work weeks <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> 14-plus hour days with no regard <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> many obstacles that <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a>re thrown in their paths?  At <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> same time, they are required <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> maintain their logbooks in <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> legal fashion.</p>
<p>Is safety <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> real issue or is greed <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> motivating factor within <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>trucking</a> industry?   Are <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> current HOS rules working for <a title="professional" href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/tag/professional/">professional</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truck</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>drivers</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> does it even take into consideration <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a><strong> safety</strong> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>and</a> health factors of <strong><a title="truck" href="http://welovetruckssite.com/">truck</a> drivers</strong>?</p>

<p>I was on <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> serious hunt for Wastepro&#8217;s rls <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> get in action somewhere in Bradenton, FL! But considering I was late that morning, out oi saw <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> 2008 Navistar Workstar/GS Recycler drive by on US41 &#038; decided <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> tail it!! So as it lead me <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> West Rich Side of Bradenton, I caught it in action on <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> 2 stream recycling run which appeared <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> be in <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> <a title="commercial" href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/tag/commercial/">commercial</a>/<a title="residential" href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/tag/residential/">residential</a> complex!! <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>The</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>driver</a> was cool with it &#038; I told him bout trash <a href="http;//welovetruckssite.com/" class="kblinker" title="More about truck &raquo;">trucks</a> on You Tube!! So he was collecting carts of 2 stream recycling! <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>The</a> 1st 1 being beverage container loaded in <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> front side of body &#038; <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> rear cart being paper &#038; boxes loaded in <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> rear side of body. <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>The</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>driver</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>also</a> told me that <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> GS bodies have <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a> special packer where it sorts &#038; sweeps <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> 2 stream in its respectful compartments! Don&#8217;t know how it works. I did cut most of <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truck</a> driving shots <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> get this <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truck</a> in action as much as possible cause I may never come across these <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>trucks</a> that easy again cause they have <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>a</a>ccounts like an hour away from me in certain areas in Bradenton, Palmetto &#038; certain areas in Ellington. Plus I wanted <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> save battery hour <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/" trucks>to</a> get some freight train action in Palmetto later throughout <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com/sitemap" truck>the</a> day!!! My main trash <a href="http://welovetruckssite.com" trucks>truck</a> target is bound for WASTEPRO, but it&#8217;s mainly gonna be <a title="REARLOADERS" href="http://welovetruckssite.com/wpress/tag/rearloaders/">REARLOADERS</a> residentially!!!!
